What is the first consultation like?
In this meeting your matter and documents are reviewed and possible paths, approximate time and cost are explained. You can attend in person or online.
What documents should I bring?
Identity documents, related contracts or deeds, correspondence, notices and any writing related to the matter. If unsure, bring it so we can review together.
Will my information stay confidential?
Yes. Professional confidentiality is a core duty of the attorney and the content of your conversations and documents remains protected.
What is the difference between a grade-one attorney and other grades?
Attorney grade is determined by professional conditions and experience and defines the scope of competence to accept cases before different authorities. Grade-one attorneys may represent clients before all judicial authorities.
Can a case be pursued without a lawyer?
In many cases yes, but in some matters (such as serious criminal cases) having a lawyer is required or strongly recommended. Observing deadlines and filing correctly often determines the outcome.
How important are legal deadlines?
Very important. If the deadline for appeal, revision or objection is missed, the right to challenge may be lost. Show notices to the lawyer immediately.
How are legal fees determined?
Based on the type and complexity of the case, the authorities involved and the time required. The amount and payment method are set before work begins and in a written contract.
What should be done in commercial disputes with a foreign party?
First the dispute resolution clause and governing law in the contract are reviewed. Depending on that, the path may be negotiation, mediation, arbitration or court.
Can Iranians living abroad also hire a lawyer?
Yes. With a valid power of attorney and online consultation, many matters can be handled remotely.
